Outline of the DGESS The DGESS aims to match up local design companies (Employing Companies) with graduates from the design-related disciplines (Graduate Employees) for full-time employment. During the employment period, the Employing Companies will provide their Graduate Employees with full-time job and on-the-job training. |

Mr Tong graduated in 2004 at California State Polytechnic University, College in Art in Los Angeles, obtained a BFA degree specialising in Graphic Design. After college, he returned to Hong Kong and started his creative career in Alan Chan Design Company.
In January 2010, Gary founded his design practice, TGIF, working on a diverse range from corporate and brand identity, book design, exhibition design to packaging. He has received Gold Award, Judges' Choice and HK Best Awards in HKDA Global Design Awards, Tokyo Type Directors Club Annual Awards, Hong Kong Design Centre Design for Asia Awards, Red Dot Award and Graphic Design in China Awards. In 2013, Gary Tong was awarded 40 Under 40 design talents from Perspective Magazine.

Mr Lau and Ms Chow are the co-founders of Vision Desire, graduated at Swinburne University in 2014. They are current jury of Design of the Day Asia and Beatrix was final jury at TISDC in Taiwan 2017. Vision Desire is a Hong Kong-based motiongraphic design house which delivers unique and creative ideas and messages to their audiences . They believe creativity has no boundary and visual storytelling can generate influence and insightful perspectives to everyone. These are what they are passionate about and desire for. They are also award winner of "A' Design Award in 2017" in the category of Mobile Technologies, and received 10 international accolades since 2013 including the Golden Pin, Design Award Asia and Indigo Award in Europe, etc. |

Mr. Chan has academic background in Architecture, Construction Project Management, Law, and Landscape Architecture. He acquired a variety of experience in the architectural and construction industries. He was the head of the project management department of an international property developer and later became the director of Earthasia, one of the largest landscape architectural practices in Asia. In 2012, he joined the THEi as the founding head of the landscape architecture programme. In 2018, he joined Otherland as co-founder and director. Despite being a newly established company, Otherland has taken up a wide variety of projects from commercial and infrastructural to institutional and community, and is now a listed practice under the Architectural and Associated Consultants Selection Board (Landscape Architectural Category) and a registered practice under the Hong Kong Institute of Landscape Architects. |
